Dr. Sudha Chandrasekhar Now A Fellow of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine AZ Top Doc, Dr. Sudha Chandrasekhar has recently been awarded the designation of Fellow of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. This designation represents Dr. Chandrasekhar’s skills, knowledge, and passion for the field of breastfeeding medicine. She is one of only six new international fellows this year. Fellowship of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (FABM) is given in recognition of the years of service supporting breastfeeding mothers and babies. The FABM designation is based on criteria that include outpatient and hospital based lactation support, research, education and attendance of annual ABM academy meetings. Dr. Chandrasekhar pioneered the concept of in-house lactation consulting in her practice Gateway Pediatrics (2004-2017) with her mentor.
