Dr. Richard J. Brown is a double board-certified surgeon specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery, known for his patient-focused approach and commitment to natural, confidence-building results. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia before receiving his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School.
Dr. Brown completed his General Surgery residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he also dedicated a year to advanced research in wound healing and scar formation under the mentorship of renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Thomas Mustoe. During this time, he authored and published multiple papers in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, one of the field’s leading medical journals. He later completed his residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and became certified by the American Board of Surgery.
