He has also served as president of the Arizona Ophthalmological Society and contributed to national leadership efforts through committee work with the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Passionate about shaping the future of medicine, Dr. Maltzman is also deeply involved in physician education. He serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Arizona School of Medicine and as a clinical instructor at Midwestern University School of Medicine and A.T. Still University School of Medicine, helping mentor the next generation of ophthalmologists.
Dr. Maltzman earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School before completing his internship and ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He later pursued advanced fellowship training in glaucoma at Tufts/New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, further refining the expertise that patients continue to rely on today.
