After spending eight years providing both inpatient and outpatient care at a local children’s hospital, she recognized the need to expand specialized neurodevelopmental services beyond the hospital setting. Dr. Bree is a Board-Certified Pediatric Neuropsychologist through the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology (ABPdN) and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Arizona. She has completed advanced training focused on the brain–behavior relationship in children, culminating in board certification. Dr. Bree is also authorized to provide interjurisdictional telepsychology (APIT) services through PsyPACT, allowing her to work with families in participating states.
Dr. Bree evaluates children from infancy through early adulthood, addressing both complex neurodevelopmental conditions and more common concerns such as ADHD, learning disabilities, and gifted or twice-exceptional (2e) profiles. She also has significant expertise in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. Dr. Bree is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS), trained in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), and has pursued additional education focused on the late diagnosis of ASD in teens and young adults.
Dr. Bree believes that effective evaluation extends far beyond providing a diagnosis. Her approach emphasizes collaboration with families to develop a meaningful understanding of a child’s unique way of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world. Through this process, parents gain insight into their child’s neurocognitive development, strengths, challenges, and perspective, along with practical tools to support their child at home, in school, and in daily life.
In addition to her professional training and clinical expertise, Dr. Bree brings a personal understanding to her work with children and their families. She recognizes the unexpected paths development can take—from healthy pregnancies to early deliveries and NICU stays, from developmental delays to later growth and resilience, and from the early challenges of parenting to the evolving demands of childhood. While parenting can be deeply rewarding, it can also be challenging and overwhelming, even for those well-versed in child development. This perspective allows Dr. Bree to approach each family with empathy, respect, and a true sense of partnership.
